3 MATCHES LEFT IN TOUGH SEASON
Macclesfield Blues have 3 matches remaining this season and are looking to finish the season with a flourish. The 3 matches are against Wharfedale (A), Cinderford (H) and Richmond (A)………..all are winnable and Coach Giles Heagerty will be looking to take something into the close season to build on for next September. With only 1 Home game (18th April) left, please come along and show your support for the guys who, although they have had a torrid season, have always played with immense spirit and courage. Get behind The Blues and hopefully see them to the Home victory they deserve. With visitors Cinderford also struggling to stay in this Division and desperate for any points they can muster, it should be a cracking encounter.
As we speak, The Lions are trying to arrange a 5.00 pm kick off at Priory Park against title rivals and old foes, Sedgley Park, a match that may well decide the destination of the Batemen BMW League title. Why not come down to Priory Park and see 2 fantastic games for the price of 1!?!
RESULTS AROUND PRIORY PARK
In the only match at Priory Park over Easter, the 4ths/Vets beat Oswestry 2nds 33 -21.
RUGBY THIS WEEKEND
The Blues travel to the Yorkshire Dales to take on Wharfedale, The Lions begin a run of 3 consecutive Home games when they entertain Chester 3.00 k.o., the 3rds are also at home and take on New Brighton 2nds whilst the 4ths/Vets are away at Linley. Sunday sees the Colts entertain Wilmslow with a 1.00 pm kick off.
4TH OFFICIAL REQUIRED
After too many seasons to remember, Albert Simpson is hanging up his track suit for the final time on the 18th April. Albert tried to retire from the position of 4th Official a couple of seasons back, but stayed on (Thankfully) as we were unable to find a replacement for this key role. I`d like to take this opportunity to say `Thank You` to Albert for his sterling work as 4th Official over the last few seasons – Albert, we appreciate the great job you`ve done and wish you well in `retirement`.
This clearly means we are looking for a replacement as 4th Official for Home Games, something we are required to supply, so if you are interested in filling this vitally important position please e-mail me email@example.com. I believe Albert has volunteered to steer the `new boy` (or girl!) in the right direction for the first weeks.
Bev has pointed out to me that in last weeks Newsletter, I inadvertently missed saying Thank You to the following Companies, People, so here goes;
Macclesfield Golf Club
P.R. Jones Jewellers
