Your rugby club needs you

  • Just moved to the area and want to join a rugby club?
  • Not played rugby for years but feel like playing again and meeting new people?
  • Only ever watched rugby on TV, but fancy giving it a try?
  • Think your son has the capability of becoming the next Owen Farrell or George Ford?
  • A veteran who wants to have some fun and keep active?

Then you should come along to Priory Park and become a member of Cheshire’s friendliest rugby club. Rugby is all-too-often judged on success on the field and results, but for us there’s more to it than that. For us rugby is about community and a sense of belonging. Rugby is a game for everyone: tall, short, fast, slow, thinkers and sprinters. Rugby welcomes everyone. It’s all about taking part and having fun. So whatever your ability Macclesfield Rugby Club welcomes you.

Macclesfield Rugby Club offers rugby opportunities for all ages and abilities from Under 6s to 45 plus. Age is definitely not a barrier as far as we’re concerned. Neither is experience. Whatever your level, if you want to showcase your skills, develop your ability, learn the game or just meet up regularly with like-minded rugby fanatics in a brilliant social environment, then Macclesfield Rugby Club is the place for you.

Macclesfield Rugby Club currently has over 1,000 social members and is looking to expand. We currently run 11 Mini and Junior teams, a Colts teams, and 4 Senior teams. The first team, Macclesfield Blues, successfully won the National League 2 North title last season and will now compete in National League 1 as one of the top 30 competitive rugby teams in the country. Our second team, Macclesfield Lions, finished as Champions in last season’s Cotton Traders Premier League. Macclesfield Thirds finished a creditable tenth in the Raging Bull North West League 1, whilst our Four’s play in the Raging Bull North West League 4 South finishing 5th.

So, if you’re looking for a fresh challenge, fancy a pulling on your boots again and having a run out or just want to meet and socialise with friends in an engaging and inclusive environment then why not come down to Priory Park, Priory Lane, Macclesfield, SK10 4AF.

Training normally takes place throughout the week so check on the team page for details. All players are welcome; simply ring 0161827899, or e-mail info@macc.co.uk with full details of age, experience and position(s) played and join one of the most successful and progressive clubs in the North West with facilities that are second to none.
