This Weekend

Rosslyn Park take to the M6 this Saturday looking for a leap up the league table. Both teams have played 7, won 1 and drawn 1. The Blues will want to vent their frustration after a few difficult matches.

The Lions welcome Sale FC for a 1.00pm kick off. Both teams are settling in at the top of the Cotton Traders Premier League with 5 wins apiece but the Lions will want to see some clear air between them by the end of play.

The 3rd team are also at home as they entertain Burnage. A win could put them in 2nd position in Sale Sharks Division 1

The 4th Team travel to Sandbach on Saturday. 1 point could be enough to take top position in the Freshlet Division 4 South

Last Weekend

It’s been said a few times this season “We should have won” and the Cambridge match was no exception. Luckily a late brace of tries from Max Smith and Mazza earned us a bonus point. 26 – 20

The Colts

A quality performance against a capable Widnes team saw the team score four tries in the first half and two in the second, four from six converted. A comfortable win – 38 – 19

Member Loses Winter Coat

During a sangria fuelled night with his family in Spain, David Avery suggested that he should shave his chest. It was an off the cuff remark (he should know better by now), which escalated to epic proportions. He has now agreed to put himself through the pain of having his back and chest waxed all in aid of East Cheshire Hospice! The hospice is very close in the hearts of all the Avery family and I’m sure many of yours too, so anything any of you can donate, no matter how big or small will make such a massive difference.

Sam Avery will be live streaming the whole thing so nobody misses out on witnessing all the pain. The shocking operation will commence shortly after the final whistle of the Moseley match – 19th November. Those folk with a sensitive nature are welcome to turn their backs on the spectacle.

Sent it by Peter White all the way from Menorca. Points have been lost for spillage though, points gained for catching George Clooney wearing a MRUFC shirt.
