Keith Oliver, a longstanding member of the club has been awarded the highest honour in the school’s rugby by the England Schools Rugby Football Union – Life Membership of the Union.
The award was presented by Geof Simpson, President o the England Schools Union, the President of the RFU and Andy Marriott, Chairman of England School’s 16 Group, at dinner in Birmingham earlier this year.
The award marks Keith over 25 years of involvement with Youth Rugby at club level County, Divisional and International Level.
He served on the 16 Group National Committee and was or some years an England Selector.
He follows in the footstep of Graham Wilson another ex-plying member of the club who was also granted life-membership to the Union.
Keith is a fully paid-up member of the ‘under the video tower’ group of rugby experts most ably led by Barry Day, Phillip Jones, Dave Armstrong and John Robinson. All of whom used to be mortgaged to Ken Culley!
