Rugby Notes from ‘Clubman’

Yet another frustrating weekend for Macclesfield Rugby with the weather putting paid to any sport on Saturday with all the club’s games being postponed due to the winter weather which now means that we will be playing into May well after the local cricket season begins as all the current ‘reserve’ weekends are already taken up with games previously postponed due to the state of grounds. RFU Raffle

The deadline for the raffle has now been extended until the 16th March. Please get your money and stubs back to the office as soon as you can. If you cannot find your tickets, there are plenty at the club.

Super Saturday

The 17th March is going to be a big day at Priory Park! It is St Patrick’s Day and in addition to all the normal shenanigans, the Blues take on Luctonians and the 4th team entertain Lymm.

We are showing all three 6 Nations matches

Italy v Scotland 12.30
England v Ireland 14.45
Wales v France 17.00

There will be a formal lunch before the Blues v Luctonians match with an Irish theme

Beef & Bacon braised in Guinness, Colcannon, Seasonal vegetables
