Unless you’ve been in hibernation, you can’t have failed to notice the general discussions taking place around the issue of concussion in sport. It’s an issue that’s cropped up across a number of different sports over the course of the summer, from rugby and football to cycling and athletics.

We are kicking off the season on Saturday 6th September with a good old fashioned “Family Fun Day” for the visit of the famous Richmond Rugby Club. Fun Day start time – 12 o’clock (mid-day). Entrance is FREE for everybody until 2pm (after 2pm normal entrance fee applies). Kick off for rugby is 3.00 pm – v Richmond. Summers without sport generally seem to last an eternity. Many supporters suffer withdrawal symptoms and can’t wait to get back to competitive action. For some reason this summer has been different: it hasn’t dragged like normal.
