As s you may well be aware, as part of the Strategic Plan for MRUFC, it was recognised that in order to ensure the continued success of our Junior/Youth sections, and to create a pathway for these players to move into senior rugby, a Director of Youth Rugby would be appointed. We are now in a position to offer that post and would ask for applications to be sent in confidence to myself. A panel comprising Executive members, First team […]
After a week’s rest and recuperation, Macclesfield Blues return to action once again when they take on Blaydon at Priory Park on Saturday. When the teams met earlier this season the Blues failed to register on the score sheet.

Macclesfield suffered defeat again on the road this weekend despite picking up a try scoring bonus point. The Blues travelled south to St. Albans to face Old Albanians a side who were looking to pull themselves away from the drop against a Blues team that was suffering from the injuries picked up over the last few weeks. The hosts opened the scoring on 7 minutes as they attacked from deep with pace which opened spaces and allowed the full back […]
£9,000 FOR MACCLESFIELD RUFC!! If anyone out there has a better idea on how the club can raise £9,000 for much needed repairs and improvements to the pitches and astro turf, other than the RFU raffle, please could you advise me at your earliest oppurtunity. I`m staggered that people can`t (won`t) sell 3 books of raffle tickets FOR THE BENEFIT OF THEIR OWN CLUB! Please don`t come complaining to me about the state of the pitches unless you`ve sold your […]
The Blues let a 12 point lead slip in the quarter final of the Raging Bull League Plate, against a Stockport side that managed to get round the Macclesfield defence four times. Macclesfield took the lead with an Ollie Aston penalty early on in a tightly fought first half.
