Commercial and General Manager, Bill Roberts, commented on the handover of the cheque early last week:
“We’re delighted to have received such significant support from DWF Solicitors. We’re thrilled to have them on board as a new sponsor and look forward to working with them over the course of the year. They have made a substantial donation, and we’re pleased to welcome them to our community Club. This year DWF are sponsoring a general club deal, but we hope that they may also be sponsoring the juniors as well next year. ”
DWF is also glad to be on board, and is looking forward to building a longer-term relationship with the Club. David Pickering, DWF’s National Head Private Client and Family Group commented on the new deal:
“For some time now, we’ve been looking to partner and support a successful local organisation whose values mirrored those of our own. After looking at various options, and having since had the opportunity to talk to the General Manager, Bill Roberts, we’ve concluded that Macclesfield Rugby Club represents an ideal fit. The Club epitomises our ethos. It’s progressive and is proud of its efforts in encouraging and developing its own people [on and off the pitch] and being ingrained in the local community.”
“This year we’ll be supporting the Club by way of advertising on the ground [under the new scoreboard actually], in the programme and on the website, sponsoring the match ball and the hosting of a number of match day hospitality functions in the Presidents Suite. We’ve discussed with Bill our desire to support and get involved with the junior section as recognition of the magnificent effort and commitment that the Club and its people put into this area. The enjoyment that this creates is visible on the faces of the children and parents each Sunday morning, but equally important is the part it plays in the longer term personal development of the youngsters.”
