The good news keeps coming

The good news keeps coming for Macclesfield Rugby Club with the announcement today of a major sponsorship deal with the Stobart group.

Peter Harper, club chairman said “we are absolutely delighted that the Stobart group have agreed this deal. We have the family connection through Edd Stobart who plays on the wing for the first team and has made a strong contribution to the success of the club over the past couple of seasons. We are thrilled that the Stobart Group are further strengthening their links with us. The Stobart Group is a highly respected and recognised brand and we feel a deal like this, with a national organisation, reflects Macclesfield rugby club’s broader ambition.”

Speaking for the Stobart Group, David Cox said “we have been impressed with the ambition of Macclesfield over the last few years and the way they have managed to successfully move from the local leagues to the national competition whilst retaining the essential community aspects of the club. The high performance levels of the first team, the thriving mini and junior section and the social rugby represent values that we ascribe to. This is our first venture into rugby union and we are confident it will be successful at Macclesfield.”
