Macclesfield Under 9s and Under 12s win the Stockport Rugby Festival, whilst Under 8s prove too strong for Wilmslow

The good news just seems to keep on coming for our up-and-coming rugby stars. Macclesfield Rugby’s Mini and Junior teams are going from strength to strength and capped off a fantastic all-round rugby weekend with victories at both Under 9 and Under 12 levels in the Stockport Rugby Festival, as well as home victories for all three of Macclesfield’s Under 8s teams against Wilmslow.

Macclesfield Under 9s performed magnificently in the Stockport Festival, winning all five of their matches in the 6-team competition, whilst the Under12s dominated in the hard-fought competition, scoring 12 tries and conceding just the one. The feel-good factor continued at the Under 8s level when Macclesfield fielded 3 separate teams who were all victorious against a strong and well-drilled Wilmslow side.

For further information and match reports from the under 12’s, under 9’s and under 8’s please have a look at the age-group pages.
