Annual General Meeting – election of club officers

The Annual General Meeting of Macclesfield Rugby club will be held towards the end of May and a date and agenda for the meeting will be circulated nearer the time in accordance with club rules. We will, as usual, elect officers of the club at this meeting. You will recall that last year we changed the way the club was run from a more conventional committee to an executive structure. This notice is to inform you:

  • If you wish to retain the current executive structure but would like to change some or all of the personnel, nominations should be sent by e-mail to the club secretary (Tim Peakman pipandtimpeakman@tiscali.co.uk) by 30th April. Note, that we do not propose to expand the current 5 member committee.
  • If you wish to propose a change to the current structure, you will need to put this proposal forward as a special resolution to the secretary, again by 30th April. A copy of the club rules outlining this process can be obtained from the club office or by contacting the club secretary.

This timing will allow any such proposals to be included on the agenda for the meeting and properly debated and voted on.
