Club Announcement

It is with great sadness that the Club announces the death of Mark Cohen a Past President and Chairman of Macclesfield RUFC and Past President of Cheshire RU. Mark was also a long serving player before he became involved with the Management of the Club and of the County. He was appointed Club Chairman from 1961 to 1966 and Club President from 1983 to 1986. The honour of County President was in season 1989/90. Before retiring from County duties he also spent a number of years as Treasurer. His vast knowledge of the game was a major benefit to both organisations and during his retirement took a keen interest in the future direction of both Club and County.  He attempted to attend as many games as possible but was always at the Clubs Annual and Financial  General meetings and often spoke to the members of his passion for the future of this organisation and its place within the game.

Our sincere condolences go out to Muriel and all the family at this difficult time.
