Macclesfield utility back Matt O’Regan is set to miss the rest of the season after suffering a complex break of his fourth finger.
The injury occurred in the game against Sedgley Park and is being regularly checked to ensure the healing process is going well, he may need surgery if the signs are not good.
Frankie Barker has had the first of possibly two surgeries, the operation repaired a tear in his medial meniscus. The injury was suffered against Stourbridge back in November and the number eight is now waiting to find out if he needs his ACL replaced.
Jack Sadler’s knee injury is still under investigation. The Blues’ medical team are seeking the assistance of Mr. Kenny, one of the countries top knee specialists.
Ashley Platt-Hughes remains sidelined with an ongoing back problem. Chris Jones is being rested again this week as a precaution over a recent back spasm.
On to some better news and Joe Clowes is moving towards the end stage of his shoulder reconstruction. The back rower has been out of action for over a year now but the rehabilitation is going well.
Both Mike Barlow and George Baxter returned from long-term injuries to take the field for the second team last week.
