BLUES TAUGHT A LESSON BY RUTHLESS FYLDE
Fylde`s most famous son, Bill Beaumont left Priory Park licking his lips at the manner of his club`s ruthless approach to Saturday`s game, a result which left The Blues on the end of a 47-0 defeat, and still yet to register a league point this season.
Fylde showed why they finished 3rd last season as they look to make the step up to The Championship next season, scoring 7 tries from maybe 9 chances, whilst The Blues coughed up too much possession and wasted the few opportunities created. However, the score line certainly flattered the away team and they were the beneficiaries of every 50/50 ball going and everything they tried seemed to come off. Unfortunately, there are no points awarded for effort, endeavour and commitment and Macc will have to build themselves up for this Saturday`s trip to Esher.
The Claphams Landscapes Man of the Match awards were chosen and presented by Bill Beaumont with Blues debutant, Ollie Fewtrell, with a fine performance at outside centre receiving the award for Macclesfield and hat trick winger Jordan Dorrington being the recipient for Fylde.
Around Priory Park last Saturday;
As mentioned above, The Blues hosted Fylde at home and lost 0- 47, the Lions travelled to Lancaster to play Vale of Lune where they won comfortably by 61- 20, the 3rds also had a big win at Burnage by 51 – 7 whilst the 4ths opposition Northwich cried off on Saturday morning leaving the team with no game.
Big Thanks to `Charlie Watch` from Macclesfield Fire & Rescue Service who brought a fire engine down to Priory Park on Saturday

MACMILLAN NURSES CAN YOU HELP !!
“I was wondering whether you might be able to help me? We’re looking to recruit some volunteers to help us collect at Tesco in October and so I wondered whether the team at Macclesfield RUFC might be able to spare some time? Any support would be very much appreciated!
We have a resource centre at Macclesfield Hospital which provides information, support and advice to anyone who is living with cancer, and their friends and families. It was one of the first Macmillan Centres in the country to be home to Chemotherapy suite, Oncology outpatient clinics, Oncology Research and Information and Support – all under one roof.
We believe that no-one should face cancer alone, and with your help we will continue in our aim of reaching all 2million who are living with cancer today.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks – Louisa Walmsley, Fundraising Manager, Cheshire
