BLUES V COVENTRY TEAM NEWS

The Blues face second placed Coventry today at the Butts Park Arena, and Macclesfield will be looking to build on their last away performance which saw them victorious at Tynedale.

The Blues are without Elliot Millar-Mills, Franky Barker and Dean Williams from the forwards, Millar Mills and Barker miss out through injury and Williams has moved out to New Zealand to play his rugby. Ben Jones, Chris Jones and Josh Hearn replace these players in the squad, with Chris Jones starting in the second row with Dave Marwick. Matt Thorp also comes into the squad. The Blues are also without fly half Tom Morton who is away with England u20s in their six nations campaign. Sam James starts at fly half with Tom Eaton replacing Jordan Brookes at scrum half

The Blues are faced with the tough task of ending Coventry’s unbeaten run of 17 games which has seen them challenging Ealing at the top of the league. A tough task yes but the new found form and belief in this Macclesfield are sure to relish such an occasion.
