Family Fun Day

Macclesfield Rugby club welcomes back the Blues to Priory Park for the first home game of the season. Despite relegation last season, the Blues find themselves in National 1 North facing Caldy! In line with previous years, the first game of the season is being turned over to the Annual Family Fun Day.

All are invited, with FREE entry as long as you arrive before 2:00 p.m. Players IN KIT will be entered into a draw for a signed match ball. There will be Gladiator, Mega Slide and Disco Bouncy Castle, cross bar competitions, fire engines and more. A barbecue will be lit, bar open, liquid refreshment flowing and I am sure the blues will give us a home team win.

This event has proved very popular in previous years, in various guises. The first home game is always special, and a huge support will make it even better!

In previous years the M&J section has kept any funds raised form the fun day to support their activities. However this year, the M&J section have agreed to donate any money raised to the Bosley Disaster Appeal (a cause very close to home, and close to me).

Only one result to 'round up' today, but it's a crucial 5 points for the 1st XV, who are now top of the table after Rossendale lost over at Stockport. Here Tommy Taylor (Defence Coach) gives his views on the match. The lads now head into a well-deserved break, and face Blackburn up at Ramsgreave Drive in a fortnight. Next weekend it’s all the Guinness Men's Six Nations action on the screens down at Priory Park. 🍻 🏉 tinyurl.com/MRUTV ... See MoreSee Less
