THE BLUES v HULL IONIANS
Hull Ionians ran out winners at Priory Park last Saturday. After a scrappy first half the score was an even 5 – 5. After a stream of penalties in the second half, Matt King was sent to the sin bin, Hull took advantage and secured the bonus point on the hour. The Blues hit back with two tries but they missed out on a bonus point as the Hull fly half slotted a penalty in the last minute of the game.
The Lions won at Rochdale 65 – 10, the 3rd team lost at Sandbach and the 4th Team secured a win against Northwich 37 – 5 letting in their first points this season.
BLAYDON v MACCLESFIELD BLUES
To all travelling supporters, please note that the kick off time for this match is at 2.30pm on Saturday. A win here could lift us up to mid table. We hope to see as many of you as possible there, the weather looks better in the North East too.
The first formal, 3 course meal this season will be prior to the Rosslyn Park match – 22nd October. This promises to be a great day of rugby against one of the most famous clubs with a wealth of history. This is going to be a fantastic afternoon and it will be a sell out, so please book early to avoid disappointment. £15 + entrance fee.
Group bookings of four or more will receive a free bottle of wine to accompany the meal.
Please book with Jonathan firstname.lastname@example.org.
