Another good start for the Blues at Ampthill, but the home team came out all guns blazing in the second half. 36 – 10
Preston Grasshoppers felt the full wrath of the second team at Priory Park. 41 – 0
The 3rd team trounced Liverpool Collegiate. Unfortunately the 2 teams above them in the league also won. 59 – 0
The 4th team were overpowered by a strong Crewe & Nantwich side. 38 – 12
Cambridge are visiting us this weekend. They have lost their last 6 games and are now resting in 11 place, so we stand a good chance. 3.00pm KO
The Lions travel the short distance to 2nd place Sedgley Park. Sedge lost when they last visited Priory Park, but it wasn’t a walk over. This will be a close one. 2.15pm KO
Boobs v Balls

More information to follow.
England v France
On Saturday we will be showing the Scotland v Ireland match at 14.25pm and the England v France match at 16.50pm. Both will be shown on the big screen and sandwiches will be served at half time at England v France match. There should be enough to soak up some of the beer.
There seems to be an increasing amount of litter left around the club after weekends. Please could you take a little more care and put your litter in the bins provided, there are plenty around the ground.
Our first offering was sent in by Peter White. He was enjoying a pint of Holts IPA in his back garden in Chelford and wanted to share the view with all of us.
It must have been warm in Ampthill, The Lady Mayor of Ampthill has nailed her pint. Notice our Lady Chairman with a firm grip on some local totty, must be hard to balance with only one leg.
WALLS HAVE MEMORIES TOO!
Last year, well at least last month I wrote about the history that is stored in the various commemorative plaques on the entrance stairwell. No one has so far confessed to knowing anything about the two examples I provided so here goes with a few more.
If you have any more information or background on these plaques please get in touch (via Jonathan initially) and I’ll arrange to capture their memories on video or audio.
The first one is from the Junior section of a Welsh club, there must be someone out there who can say “I was there boyo”.
The second one is a little more esoteric. Plenty of former Stags are still with us but who was the “Star , the Holder”? There are many fewer of them still with us.
And finally, for now at least. I know what goes on tour stays on tour but surely a little ‘tourist information’ about Hilversum is available?
