Rugby Notes from ‘Clubman’
Five points on the road down in Leicester following a convincing 38-24 victory at Wigston Magna was a welcome return to Rugby after the previous weekend’s postponement and will put the squad in good heart for the visit to Priory Park this Saturday in the game v. Sheffield which was also postponed back in November due to ground conditions. Read more >>>
Blues v Sheffield
Tomorrow’s match may not be in your diaries because it was postponed from the 25th November. They may be near the bottom of the league but Sheffield have gained a few points lately and even beat Hinkley, not a walk over!
The pitch is looking good after some attention from Sam & Tim Broster and so long as it doesn’t freeze we should be in for a good fast game, not to be missed.
There is a pie lunch beforehand, just turn up, grab a pint, order your pie, pay Maggie £10 and enjoy a great day.
We will also be showing the two internationals with sandwiches at half time. Why would you want to be anywhere else!
Colts v Penrith
The Colts remain unbeaten in Senior League B after their trip to Penrith last Sunday.
After a score of 10 – 28, our boys have won 6 from 6 and boast a pints difference of 145!
Super Saturday
The 17th March is going to be a big day at Priory Park! It is St Patrick’s Day and in addition to all the normal shenanigans, the Blues take on Luctonians and the 4th team entertain Lymm.

Many thanks to the following for their help so far.
Andy McLean – Plumbing and tiling
Anthony Walker – Big ladder
Tim & Sam Broster – Main pitch maintenance
We are always in need of help to improve the facilities at the club, at the moment we are looking for:
- A roofer to replace a few loose tiles
- A man with a huge ladder to repair the gutters
- An electrician to perform a PAT and fixed electrical test
- A fencer to repair the cage around the astro pitch
- A tiler to repair the shower areas
- A plumber to replace a tap or two
- A landscaper to relay a few paving slabs.
These are all small jobs for the skilled tradesman. In return we can offer advertising around the club, pitch, website or programme. You can also expect a massive pat on the back. We will not leave you out of pocket as we have some money to spend at a local hardware outlet.
