Passing of Lord Thomas of Thomas of Macclesfield

We are sad to announce the passing of Lord Thomas of Thomas Macclesfield.

Many of you will remember Lord Thomas as ‘Terry’, who was a loving father of Justin, Neil and Brendan Thomas and a cherished supporter of Macclesfield Rugby Club. Terry worked as Head of the Co-op Bank and was instrumental in securing our sponsorship with the company, as well as the construction of the Co-op lounge. We are eternally grateful for everything he has done to support us.

Terry was present for all home games until health prevented his attendance. His proudest moment was watching his three sons, Justin, Neil and Brendan, play together in the first team at Macclesfield Rugby. You can see him ‘photo-bombing’ the three of them in the photo.

We send our heartfelt sympathies to Terry’s wife Lynda, sons Justin, Neil and Brendan, and to Terry’s Grandchildren. Here is information regarding the funeral service, for friends and family who would like to attend:

St Peters’ Church, Prestbury Friday 20th July at 11:00am
Followed by Committal at
Macclesfield Crematorium

Donations if desired for
The Stroke Association

Another trophy for Faf de Klerk 🏆 His try sealed the win for Sale 🦈 He praises Steve Diamond's half-time talk for inspiring a turnaround...

"Good job there wasn't many people in the stadium to see it!" "We could never repeat what went on at half-time in that changing room!" 🤣😂🤣 Steve Diamond bemoans the lack of quality in the final and the silly penalties his side gave away... You'd never guess he just won 😅
