Minis and Juniors – Your club need you

MRUFC are running a Design a Flag Challenge to create a touch flag that represents the future of our rugby club – our Mini and Junior Section –  and so we’d like our M&J members to design it!

One side will be the MRUFC One Badge, One Club, One Voice logo. The other side is down to you. Let your imaginations run wild.

There will be 2 categories: Ages 6 to 10 years’ old and then 11 years +

The winning design will be selected and announced at the Mini and Juniors’ Christmas Party on Sunday 16th December.

Guidelines

Designs should be in colour, simple, clean, and clear. All entries should be designed on the blank flag template.

Please adhere to the following:

                  a) Designs cannot plagiarise country or easily recognisable flags

                  b) Try to use 2-3 basic colours – incorporating the club colours would be great

                  c) Avoid a lot of lettering

                  d) Keep it positive

If you would like to you can add a short, written description of the meaning and/ or symbolism contained in the design.

All entries for the M&J Design a Flag Challenge must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday 9th December.

Designs can be submitted as below:

a) In person, drop off your entry with design in digital format on a USB accompanied by an A4 printed version paper copy using the template provided.

b) By mail, send the entry with design in digital format on a USB accompanied by an A4 colour printed version paper copy to: M&J Design a Flag Challenge, Macc Rugby Club, Priory Road, Macclesfield

c) By email, send the entry in Word or .pdf with design in digital format (pdf, png, jpg) no larger than 8MB to philmason2@gmail.com with subject line “M&J Design a Flag Challenge”.

Download the flag template here: Design a flag challenge

All submitted entries will become the property of Macclesfield Rugby Club, and may be modified, reproduced, and published at the club’s sole discretion.

The entries will be reviewed by the coaches and committee, with a winner being chosen for each age category.

The winner will have their flag created for use at the Club, be mascot at the 1st XV game on 19th January 2019 vs Sedgeley Park– and will receive a framed flag, signed by the 1st team.
