MRUFC Introduce Andy Appleyard as New General Manager

We are pleased to announce that after a robust recruitment process, we have now appointed Andy Appleyard to fill the new post of ‘General Manager’ at Macclesfield RUFC!  Andy’s first day in his new role will be Tuesday 4th December 2018. By then, we will have posted his contact details on the website and social media.

May we take this opportunity to thank the other candidates who applied for the position, we were astonished by the standard of applicants and we wish them well in the future.

We are sure you will all give Andy your full support in his new role at Priory Park and assist him wherever possible.

A Word from Andy

“My experience so far with Macclesfield rugby club has been fantastic. The club shows true potential on the pitch throughout the rugby sections and off the pitch in the business.

“I have been fortunate to work with many rugby clubs throughout my career at the RFU and have experienced challenging working environments that have tested my character which I believe has given me the values, skills and qualities I have today. This gives me confidence that I can add real value to the rugby sections but more so the business which I believe will lead to promote more growth in all areas at the club.

“Please feel free to get in touch as I’m keen to meet everyone who is involved in driving the club forward. I finish my time with the RFU and England Rugby at the end of this Month and I’m truly excited to get stuck into the new role as GM!”
