The Future of MRUFC

If we haven’t met already my name is Andy Appleyard I’m the Senior Attack Coach and the new General Manager of the club.

We are on a bit of a mission at the moment upgrading the club with the aim of all that come to MRUFC have a fantastic experience.

So far we have

  • Refurbished the old Trophy room and presidents suit that has now created the Spiral Lounge.
  • Upgraded all the beer pumps, lines and installed a new cellar. (giving you a better quality pint)
  • Installed new till systems to offer contactless card payments over 3 machines. The system also helps us in many way for functionality.
  • Work has started to freshen up the Priory Suit and should be done for next Friday.

There has been a massive flood of fantastic people helping out in different ways and without them these things wouldn’t have got done so many thanks once again.

What Now?

We want to keep the momentum going so our plans this year are to:

  • Refurbish the changing rooms and showers turning four changing rooms into six, one with showers in for our new ladies team.
  • Improve the upstairs male & female toilets.
  • Install a lift to make our club accessible to all.
  • To go the distance on the lift we need everyone’s help, the lift itself will cost approx. 20K to be made and fitted.

If you are in a position where you can donate a few £ to the cause that would be most appreciated from all at the club. If not maybe you can help by spreading the word of our 20K challenge, once again any help is appreciated.

We will also need a qualified builder for this project.
