Morton re-signs

1st Team Captain Tom Morton re-signs for the 2019-20 season and is eager to help the club return to National 2 in 2020.

“We have a top set of lads who I want to do well with. I want to help Macc get back to where we should be as a club and firmly believe that with some hard work we will be able to bounce back up.

There is an exciting new coaching and back room staff set up and we also have some new faces to add to our squad which will only make the club a more competitive environment.”

Lead Coach Andy Appleyard added, “Morts is a great person & a fantastic player, it was vital that we kept him at Macc. His leadership skills have certainly developed over what has been a tough season for the club, but the boys & staff are fully behind him.

At only 23 Morts has experienced so much in his rugby career and this shines through in how he trains, plays and leads. He like many others in our squad are keen to keep getting better which is a behaviour that we promote”

More announcements to come, including The New Rugby Management Team, More Re-Signings plus our New Faces of 2019-20.
