RFU suspends all Rugby
Last night the RFU, acting upon government advice, suspended all professional and community rugby in England from today 17th March 2020 until Tuesday 14th April, subject to continued review.

Macclesfield Rugby will be complying with this announcement in all respects with immediate effect. This means that there will be no Senior or Mini & Junior matches or training whatsoever during this period. This also applies to Touch Rugby and Walking Rugby that usually take place on a Thursday Club Night.
Although the decision has been taken following government advice in the interests of players, coaches, volunteers, supporters and club members, there will naturally be a number of implications for the Club. The Executive Committee will be meeting this week to consider the impact of this suspension upon league rugby and upon our commercial activities and social events.
