More Than Rugby – Money Guru

Money Guru, started their sponsorship relationship in 2017 when they answered the call for help in providing the replacement of, much needed, post protectors for the First Team pitch. The Company was yet to launch their new product from their Macclesfield base, but it was the start of a partnership that would grow over the next few years.

Once launched, Money Guru made a major commitment into sponsoring MRUFC across all sections of the Club. The brand takes pride of place on all team strips as the main shirt sponsor as well signage throughout Priory Park. We asked Money Guru a few questions about their business and MRUFC:


What service does your business provide? 

Money Guru is a consumer credit focused price comparison site, helping people towards financial enlightenment. There are also lots of relevant Insights to help people with the impact of Covid-19 on their finances.


How and why are you involved with Macclesfield RUFC?

 Mike Ransom, the Managing Director of Quint Group and one of the coaches for the U10s and U15s squads, tasked Team Money Guru to help tackle financial confusion, support an important local club and drop kick the financial worries of MRUFC fans and players into touch.


How has Covid 19 affected your business?

We’re always open at and the team are all working from home, the positives being how well we’ve come together to support each other as we get used to the ‘new normal’ of balancing children, schooling and working.
