One Club replaces the 500 and 200 club

The 500 Club was set up in September 2012 by the Mini & Junior section to help raise funds to improve the overall experience for the Mini & Juniors. Well, that’s nearly true, it was actually set up after the “foodgate” incident (ask Peter Harper) but that’s a long story for another day. Fundraising through prize draws such as One Club are necessary for us to be able to invest in the Mini & Junior playing experience, by enabling us to purchase resources for the club and keep the facilities in the best condition possible.

In the eight years the 500 club has been in existence it has raised £10,042! Now that it has merged with the 200 club to form the One Club draw, the money raised will continue to be used for many club purposes as it has been before, such as:

  • The Blue container to store the M&J training equipment
  • Purchase new training equipment for the M&J players
  • Contribute towards pitch maintenance
  • Contribute towards Coaches jackets
  • Purchase bespoke kit items for teams
  • Contribute towards club projects – Barrier for Car Park / Updating of Changing Rooms
  • Contribute towards new post protectors on all pitches

In fact, we have given away nearly £10,000 in prizes to date and the One Club draw will continue to be a great way to put something back into the club and win prizes.

Thank you to all the Mini & Junior parents / Grandparents / Uncles / Aunties / Cousins and friends of the club for your support in the last 8 years. The One Club will be even better and will make sure that we have the means to invest in the facilities at the club.

One Club is a fantastic way to support the club, so if you haven’t signed up yet you can sign up here!

Only one result to 'round up' today, but it's a crucial 5 points for the 1st XV, who are now top of the table after Rossendale lost over at Stockport. Here Tommy Taylor (Defence Coach) gives his views on the match. The lads now head into a well-deserved break, and face Blackburn up at Ramsgreave Drive in a fortnight. Next weekend it’s all the Guinness Men's Six Nations action on the screens down at Priory Park. 🍻 🏉 tinyurl.com/MRUTV ... See MoreSee Less
