Macclesfield v Burnage 4 September

So here we are, season 2021–22 and what an exciting season it promises to be, for all our teams. We all look forward to another year of demanding rugby for our players, both on and off the field, and to build on our long held reputation of giving our-all for the cause on the pitch, and enjoying ourselves to the full off it.

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our visiting teams, supporters, and officials this season, and we look forward to renewing recent rivalries with our friends from all over the North. Macclesfield finished in 3rd place after the count-back last time, closely followed by Sandal & Billingham with Blackburn making great progress at their first season at this level. With our old rivals from Otley and Preston being relegated, and hoping to bounce back at the first time of asking, this is going to be one hell of a season.

You know you're in trouble when you see a wall of green shrits running towards you 😳 @connachtrugby work the ball across the line excellently once again, Conor Oliver and Jarrad Butler have a little one-two and make it look oh so easy 😌 #HeinekenChampionsCup

All the best to @ospreys' Sam Cross who's stretchered off after he seemed to twist his knee falling through a ruck. Hopefully a speedy recovery 🙏 #HeinekenChampionsCup
