With the absence of the usual draw master, Paul Underhill we had to conduct the most recent OneClub draw without him. With England’s recent poor T20 cricket form Paul was summoned to Bangladesh to assist with the wicketkeeping coaching, not many people are aware that Paul did once play cricket for England B team on the ill fated tour of India, Paul was singled out for some harsh words due to the fact he was twice the size of the Indians and they didn’t feel it was fair that a man that tall was alive. Paul batted in 4 games and didn’t score a single run. Paul never recovered from this setback never played cricket again and had to take up rugby, which he obviously excelled at, mostly not at Macclesfield.
