This week Priory Park welcomes Stafford who currently play in the Women’s NC 2 Midland (West) a league above Macclesfield. In their previous two matches this season, against Newport they had a convincing 84 – 5 win and then last weekend in their first league match away at Tamworth they won by 40 points to 12. This season Stafford are in the enviable position of fielding two teams, which is an aim of the home side for the future. After a convincing win away at Glossop the home the squad have prepared well with a focus on game and situational awareness. Amy Blunt, Bex Ward and Eli Bradley are set to make their first appearances of the season on Sunday and their availability will make selection difficult for the coaches. Sunday will be a very tough game against a team that has been together for several seasons. It will be a measure of how far the home side have developed in the last twelve months. Kick-off is at 2.00 pm so grab a drink and a pie and support the team.
