It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of former player and long-standing member, Kenny Morgan.
Kenny sadly passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning aged just 68. As a teacher at Poynton High School for many years, Kenny will have coached numerous Macclesfield players over the years and he will be fondly remembered by his former pupils and all those who knew him.
Kenny was a convert from football and was a talented fly-half and a fearsome tackler, belittling his size and `modest` physique, playing in over 500 games for Macclesfield at various levels and enjoyed a lengthy spell with the Stags. Ken was a very popular member of the club, known for his sense of humour, love of life and always had a smile on his face – he also had that rare ability to put a smile on others faces too.
Our thoughts are with Ken`s wife Jean, sons James and Tom together with their wives and Kenny`s grandchildren at this sad time. Kenny Morgan was a special man to all who knew him – please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
Please look out for details of Ken`s funeral on the website.
