You will work within our Hale Office, alongside our qualified staff, and Team Leader, to service a varied portfolio with clients in many different industries. You will be asked to support the team in a number of ways, absorbing the work experience and knowledge along the way with the end goal of becoming ACCA/ACA Qualified. Your role will include the following:
- Bookkeeping and VAT returns
- Accounts preparation
- Preparation of Tax documents (Self Assessment, Corporation Tax etc)
- Management accounts preparation
- Client & colleague communication
- Involvement in audit fieldwork
- Ad hoc duties as and when required
You will be:
- Looking to study ACCA or ACA
- Projected to achieve, or have already achieved 2:1 or above
- GCSE grade B/6 or above in Maths and English
- Able to work under pressure
- Passionate about offering a high-quality service to clients
- Friendly, and able to communicate clearly to both your colleagues and clients.
- Have great time management skills

Macclesfield Rugby Club Finance Director
Macclesfield Rugby Club is looking to appoint a Finance Director following the retirement of the present incumbent after seven years in the role. This is an executive role on the management team and carries responsibility for the financial affairs of the rugby club. The role is voluntary and unpaid but contributes significantly to a fantastic community enterprise.
Macclesfield Rugby Club has approximately 600 members. The Club has five senior teams including a Women’s team. The Junior Club is represented at every age group from under six through to senior colts and has an enviable reputation for high quality coaching. The first team is semi-professional and plays at level 5 in English Rugby. The club is developing a healthy touch rugby section and walking rugby and has ambitions to further develop girl’s rugby in the future.
The executive team aim to deliver a Happy, Successful and Sustainable Rugby Club in the heart of the community and to create a vibrant commercial enterprise to fund investment in the growth and development of the club both on and off the field of play.

1st VX Logistics Manager
The Senior Men’s 1XV are on the hunt for a manager to control all logistics for the squad. The opportunity is adaptable for the right person.
Responsibilities may include:
- Contacting officials and confirming kick off times
- Updating the Match Card (GMS) before and after matches (Training given).
- Help with Kit and Match Day preparations
- Contact Bus Company and arrange/communicate set off times
- Track kit and players on the bus
- Opportunities to help with training sessions
This is an ideal opportunity for an aspiring coach to get involved and gain insights into senior rugby with a progressive team.

O2 Touch Rugby Opportunities
O2 Touch is a fun and friendly environment for both men and women of all abilities to get involved in touch rugby. It’s year-round and encourages people to try a minimal contact, inclusive version of the game. It inspires former players to return to a sport they love as well as attracting new people to the game. With an emphasis on social fitness, music and pitch-up-and-play activity O2 Touch breaks down barriers to participation and is strengthening our clubs by growing playing opportunities in local communities. The roles are unpaid, but O2 provide a number of benefits including prizes and experiences.
O2 Touch Rugby Operators
The Operator is the lead contact for O2 Touch at the centre and is responsible for running the sessions.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Building session plans
- Running sessions
- Sourcing facilities
- Booking training courses
- Arranging fixtures
The Operator does not need a coaching qualification to run the sessions, but needs to attend one of our O2 Touch regional training sessions.
O2 Touch Ambassadors
The Ambassador’s role is primarily a marketing one, driving participation at the centre by promoting O2 Touch in the local community. As Ambassadors tend to recruit players mainly from their own demographic, the Ambassador must be part of our primary target audience (16-30 years old).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Running O2 Touch social media at the centre
- Taking videos / photos during the session and tagging all their players
- Getting the O2 Touch Centre featured in local media
- Organising social events
- Supporting the Operator by reporting on attendance using the O2 Touch app.
Please note that these roles are not mutually exclusive and volunteers can swap responsibilities.
Ultimately, the volunteer team as a whole has to deliver the sessions, promote the sessions and report using the O2 Touch website and app.
