Better beer

The clubhouse has been kitted out with a full new cellar, which includes better temperature control, new coolers, new lines throughout & improved cleaning equipment. To complement this, you will see that our bars have been upgraded with new T bar serving stations and also a new till system. As this is all new we would kindly appreciate your patience while our bar staff get used to the new equipment. These changes in time will speed up our service.

As you may know, there has been a national increase in most products throughout the country in pub and bars. Taking this in to account along with the upgrades we have made to make the beer & environment better you might notice an increase in our product prices.

If there are any questions around this please contact the general manager or one of the executive committee members rather than our bar staff. However, we will still work to offer deals when & where we can.

Earn your Blue Laces

As coaches and parents, it is our responsibility to instil the Core Values of Rugby into our children. To help promote these values, Macclesfield RUFC is launching our “Blue Laces” scheme across the whole club and we need your help!

The scheme will recognise players who exhibit Rugby’s Core Values:

  • Teamwork
  • Enjoyment
  • Respect
  • Discipline
  • Sportsmanship

These values are the fundamental principles that set our sport apart, and an overwhelming reason why we all want our kids playing Rugby!

Existing Club Coaches & newly appointed “Blue Leaders” will be constantly on the lookout for players who act like a true champion. Each team can nominate players to receive their Blue Laces, to be proudly worn as a badge of honour, showing that they are truly the complete player. Blue Laces will be presented by a 1st team player(s) at the following 1st Team Home game if the players and parent wish to attend. If not they will be handed out on the usual training/playing days.

You can only earn 1 lace at a time, and you could also lose them for poor discipline, so keep your head high, represent your club and be a Macc Champion!

Want to be involved in your team in a new and exciting way? If you are a parent and you think you have an eye for the Core Values, please get in touch with your team’s coach and become a Blue Leader.

Help us ensure that Macclesfield RUFC is a flagship of the Rugby community!
