Rugby Notes from ‘Clubman’

Another weekend and another ‘W’ for Macclesfield Rugby over in West Yorkshire at the picturesque Abbeydale complex of the Sheffield club which gave the Blues squad a ‘double’ to celebrate in what was a gritty match with both sides cancelling each other out in the main with the home side of course fighting for their National Two status which is receding for them by the week as Macc thankfully now sit in mid table security with the final games of the 2017/18 season approaching and current table topping and looking to National One next season Sale visiting Priory Park for the next game on Saturday — kick off 3.pm.  Let’s see a big turnout for this local ‘derby’ as the home side endeavour to make a dent in Sale’s record. U17s Cheshire Cup

MRUFC U17s have been drawn against Lymm RUFC in the semi-final of the Cheshire Cup. This match will be played at Priory Park tonight – Thursday 29th March. Kick of will be at 6.00pm. This should be a cracking match, don’t forget that it was our lads that didn’t lose a game last season and even beat the mighty Sedburgh School!

Beer and pies will of course be available.
